The queer Yugioh server is having a Yugioh villain poll tournament so I made a Powerpoint presentation about Yubel's role in GX. I'm a firm believer that 90% of the fun of a poll tournament is in generating propaganda and discussion, and also Yubel is my fave so I went whole hog with this.

I limited my scope since this is a villain poll tournament and I wanted to keep the focus on Yubel's role as a villain and how they tie into the overall GX narrative. As a result, I left out or skimmed over some details I felt worked more for discussing Yubel as a general character rather than their narrative role as a villain. They are by far my favorite character in all of Yugioh, though, so I could probably make an entire other presentation full of the stuff that didn't fit in scope here.

the most insane-making line from The imodna moment for me has got to be “i’ve heard everything inside of you, laudna. you are not a bad person.” LIKEEEEEEE. that’s the level of intimacy they’ve been existing at. and it took imogen not being able to read laudna’s mind anymore for her to work up the courage to say something. so she says “i’ve seen the darkest corners of your mind and i love you - not in spite of what i’ve seen, and not because of what i’ve seen, but because it’s all part of you.” i have to lie down

a club on campus is having a powerpoint party they're calling Hyperfixation Night, and i jumped at the opportunity. my presentation is about CRACKSHIPS, the antidote to the insane clout-chasing numbers game of today's fan spaces.

it's hard to pin down any fandom colloquialism but i'm really satisfied with this definition. i have a subsequent slide distinguishing the concepts of crackships vs rarepairs, bc while there's usually a lot of overlap, i don't think they're interchangeable!

listening to soundtrack music is funny cause they always insist on including every song in the same album regardless of tone, so you'll be listening to this moving ost and then they'll just cut to like. a kazoo version of the main theme that played for like 30 seconds once

Two Fashion Weeks in a row! First Fashion Week was "Sugary Style" and I decided to go a more "Decora Kei" route with it, though considering you can't wear a coat with bracelets and none of the bracelets (at the time, the Inside Out 2 bracelets would probably fit) or Necklaces really scream Decora. BUT I wanted to try to see if I could, and its decent. Honestly that hair just REALLY screams Decora Kei so almost anything can be Decora Kei with it.

Second Fashion Week was "Stitch-able Fashion" inspired by our pal Stitch. I really liked how this top looked with these pants, making it seem almost like a mesh on the bottom instead of a knit. And the pants are just....I love that style of pants. They remind me of my dance and skateboarding days. So I leaned more into the extreme sports side of Lilo and Stitch (Nani being a professional surfer before she was the sole caretaker for Lilo...also David). I was reminded of one of the Crossover episodes that Lilo and Stitch: The Series had, where it was a crossover episode with American Dragon. GOD! I loved that episode.
